    The Saskatchewan Polytechnic, also known as (Sask Polytech), is a research-intensive higher education institution in Canada. This institution is organized around four campuses, i.e. Moose Jaw, Regina, Prince Albert and Saskatoon. Also, the institution comprises of ten schools categorized as Economic Sector School and Public Sector Schools. The Sask Polytech is home to over 28,000 students and offers more than 80 certificate, diploma and degree programs for international students.

    Scholarships Offered

    The Sask Polytech offers around CAD 2 million each year in student awards and financial aid which is funded by its donors and alumni. International students have the opportunity to apply for a number of merit-based scholarships. These are primarily adjudicated on the basis of academic achievement and performance. There are currently no scholarships available for those applying to study at Sask Polytech for the first time.
    However, the achievement-based awards are offered throughout the duration of student’s study at the institution.In order to qualify for scholarships students must be enrolled for a Sask Polytech programme and have received confirmation of their enrolment.

    Admission Requirements

    Following are the admission requirements for Sask Polytech:

    • English proficiency test scores.
    • Original documents in order to make a final unconditional offer for admission.
    • Transcripts in language other than English must be accompanied with translations. The institute recommends translations from the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Saskatchewan (ATIS).
    • To confirm a seat, selected students must pay a tuition deposit of 9500 CAD within 60 days of receiving the offer.
    • The First Qualified/First Admitted (FQFA) process is used for the majority of Saskatchewan Polytechnic programs.

    Accommodation

    During your study period at the Sask Polytech, international students can either opt for on-campus or off-campus residence. Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Prince Albert provides campus residence to the students. However, the students can look for off-campus accommodation while studying in Canada through other sources too.

    On-Campus Accommodation

    For on-campus residence, the campus has housing facilities and provides 36 two bedroom suits and also has provisions for the handicapped students. The monthly rent of the suits is 588 CAD. You’ll have to pay damage deposit of 250 CAD. The facilities at on-campus accommodation include the fridge, stove, microwave, washer and dryer, one double bed, two twin beds, sofa, coffee table, dinette sets, window coverings, plug-ins, etc.

    Off-Campus Accommodation

    Similarly, the average cost of living off-campus in Saskatchewan is 1,250 CAD per month.
